This was the pilot for the TV series of the same name. The series ran for 50 episodes. Ian Bohen declined the series and was replaced by some actor named Ryan Gosling. The rest, and the series are history. Kevin Smith, Meighan Desmond, Michael Hurst, Nathaniel Lees, Mfundo Morrison had significant roles in the other Renaissance productions. Jodie Rimmer provided the warrioress interest in the TV series as Lilith.

In the first set of pics, Herc tries to impress Zeus by retrieving an urn from a booby-trapped cave. Ares had stolen the urn from Zeus. Herc later encounters con artist and thief, Iolaus, who tries to steal the urn. The urn breaks and releases a cyclone. Herc is scolded by mother Alcmene who suggests he enroll at a military academy. There he bumps into Iolaus again. They are training partners and manage to get in a right load of doo-doo. Herc also encounters Yvenna, a warrioress of some skill and other attributes. Also in the school is Jason, heir to the throne of Corinth. News arrives that his father Aeson is gravely ill. Off set Herc, Iolaus and Jason. Meanwhile, Ares and Discord are up to no good trying to ensure Aeson dies.
