The aussie cops and robbers series Water Rats ended in August 2001. In Canada it has continued re-runs every weekday since. The entire series of 6 seasons cycles about every 9 months. My favourite series of any genre, excellent stories, cast, photograpby and production. The series is slowly appearing on dvd, region 4 only. I've posted a couple of clips in my regular pages. This clip is from the episode "True Blue". The gang are holding a wake for former diver Dave McCall. The evening spawns a series of personal confrontations resulting in a few bruises and bruised egos. The episode earlier had some karaoke duets with (actors) Aaron Pedersen/Rebecca Smart and Toni Scanlan/Dee Smart. I have a longer version of this clip but it is too long to post. The clip picks up as Jack Christey ends his words about Dave McCall. The final ep of the series "Cats and Pigeons" ended on a sad note with Jack Christey being shot by Agi Fatseas and falling off a speeding boat into the harbour. The clip starts as Fatsea's body is bought ashore and the station staff wait for news of Jack's fate. The incidental music by Song Zu was excellent throughout the series and the final piano music was perfect.
