Each episode of this series starts with a meeting of "The Midnight Society", a group of kids who would secretly meet at night in the woods. One member would tell a scary tale.

Amy visits her cousin Pam during the summer. Pam loves horses but her mother won't allow her to ride because of the dangers. While rummaging in the attic, the girls release the spirit of Aunt Dora who was killed while riding. Pam is possessed and leaves the attic into a ghost world where they find a graveyard, the long-dead stable keeper and a barn. Pam (Dora) tells of a pet caged fox (mon petit rouge) that she kept fed but on one day, she did not feed the hounds.

Amy tries to stop Pam (Dora) from releasing the hounds in the barn but Pam (Dora) opens the door. Amy is trapped by the hounds. The fox runs out of the barn drawing off the hounds. Amy looks out of the barn to see Pam (Dora) riding off after the fox like she did the day she died. Amy returns to the attic to find Pam, who has no memory of what has happened. The ghost of Dora is no longer haunted by the howls of the hungry hounds and Pam's mother later allows Pam to ride.
